Shield & Armor

Shields: Equipped with 1× Size-1 shield generator (single unit). Low capacity, relatively fast regen; vulnerable to sustained fire/ballistics, but recovers quickly after brief disengagement. Armor/Durability: Light hull with minimal armor and modest HP; kinetic/explosive damage is especially punishing—avoid tanking. Combat Tips: Don’t joust; rely on agility and small profile. Keep power and cooling sufficient to prevent shield brownouts; against missiles, use decoys + hard breaks. Role & Usage: Best as a personal runabout/short-hop craft; if forced to fight, use “hit once, then bug out” tactics with a quantum escape pre-planned. Fitting Focus: Favor high-recharge shields and stable cooling; in mixed-damage scenarios, preserve shields rather than trading hull.

Hangar Size & Docking Compatibility

Hangar/Pad Size: Small Docking Support: No

Weapon Loadout, Ammunition Types and Turret

Hardpoints: 2× Size 1 wing guns (pilot-controlled) + 1× remote belly turret with 2× Size 1 guns (co-pilot/gunner-controlled). No missile racks. Caliber/Size: SC uses “Size” ratings; the 85X’s stock weapons are Size 1 (stock type shifted from distortion to laser repeaters historically, but mount sizes remain S1). Turret: Remote turret operated from an internal seat; by design, remote turrets typically carry smaller-size weapons, matching the 85X’s dual S1 fit.

Missile Hardpoints & Missile Types

In the current version, the 85X has no default missile or missile rack capacity (i.e. it comes without missile racks equipped), meaning it cannot carry missiles in its stock loadout.
